A Warm Canadian Welcome
As the first stop for many travelers entering Canadian waters, the Yacht Club is happy to welcome visitors from all over the world. Located in the picturesque Cow Bay shopping district and only minutes from downtown, the Yacht Club is conveniently located to enhance north coast experiences.
Tides
The Yacht Club marina is affected by strong tidal activity, fluctuating as much as -0.3 to +24 feet during certain times of the year. Flood tides in Prince Rupert’s harbor flow roughly North East and ebb tides flow roughly South West back towards the open ocean. When docking at the Yacht Club marina, flood tides will pull vessel “on” to the dock, while ebb tides will push them “away”.
Weather
The prevailing winds in the Prince Rupert harbor can be very strong and vary with the season and conditions. The following links will provide information on what to expect when you arrive.
